While you are doing whatever you do during the week, Bill has his eyes and ears on what is going on in the investing world. He tracks about 6,200 different stocks, etf’s. and closed-end funds. He has Bloomberg and CNN on from the time that he gets into his car in the wee hours of the morning until he gets home at night. He believes in gathering as much information as possible, before forming his opinions. It is vital for investors to know how actions by the Fed, the Treasury, the Congress, etc. effect their portfolios. The price of commodities, the dollar, interest rates, global conflicts all effect you the investor. Whether you are investing for long term growth or current income, all of these factors greatly effect you. You have Bill watching all of these issues for you every day and then condensing it all down and reporting on it every Friday in his newsletter.

Bill how about Netflix, it was one of your favorite stocks went down 75%, do you still have buy rating on that one? You say you are recommending tomorrow’s stocks but Netflix clearly was not even testerday’s stock but more like last year’s stock.

WRLD seems to have been hit on appt. of Cordray on Consumer Protection Board. Better opportunity to buy or indicator of lower stock price going forward. Thanks. Jim

  3. Murry says:

I just started receiving your newsletter and have already acted on several of your recommendations. Previously I used momentum to analyze mutual fund performance and was doing well. I look forward to seeing how your portfolios do this year. So far you are right on target with your picks.

Bill, I am a Canadian living in Vancouver and have been investing successfully for 30 years. I read one of your articles in Seeking Alpha and subscribed immediately to your newsletter. We think alike in many ways and my portfolio has a 1/3 overlap with yours. You have given me several ideas that I will act on. One question. I have made a lot of money with Philip Morris and note that you don’t follow it. Any particular reason?
I also saw the interview with Heckmann on Cramer and was impressed. I have a Canadian stock of a similar size doing similar things but much more profitably. They are growing at a 30% rate. What do you think? http://www.secure-energy.ca/

    Best wishes,

    John

NEU the stock of the week is being pummeled this week. Any thoughts? I assume you think this is a still a good buy. It was at 199 and now trading at 190ish. Timing is everything and shows averaging in can be good sometimes.

    • Bill Gunderson says:

Down 4% is not exactly translate to “being pummeled.” I buy stocks with at least a 6-12 month time horizon. Let’s take a look then at where the stock is at. Of course, if the story should change I will not hold onto it, but right now everything looks favorable.

Bill, I bought one of your darlings, FCFS twice in the last two weeks and am perplexed why it keeps going down? You still have it as an A rated stock, I believe. Do you have an idea on that?

    • Bill Gunderson says:

Don’t be perplexed. Very few stocks are immune to the movement of the overall market. Lately, the market has been going down and most stocks are also going down.
I have owned the stock for a long time and it has been very good to me. I still own it until it gives me sell signal. I hope you are not expecting to make money in a few weeks. That rarely happens in the market.

      • Matt says:

Thanks, I just pick the wrong times to buy. It still looks strong and it is in an IRA so I’ll watch it for a while. Thanks for the reply. Love your show. Listening from Jacksonville, FL. I would love it if you could tweet also on Stocktwits. You’d get a great following. Cheers.

  7. Steve Busco says:

What do we do with our TNH now that it has fallen 18% today?

    • Bill Gunderson says:

Steve, thanks for the question. I still like it as of now. I never make any one position more that 4-5% of my overall portfolio, however.

  8. paul bilik says:

i would like to try your 30 day free trile
    thank you paul bilik

  9. Jeff says:

what are the differences between the app and the newsletter…i’m sure the app gives one the ability to input a ticker and get your grade, but does the newsletter also grade all 2,700 stocks…any insight helpful, thanks.

    • Bill Gunderson says:

the newsletter does not have all of the stocks. the free app only has 200 stocks in it right now but hopefully within the next couple weeks the paid version will have all 2700 stocks.

  10. Erik says:

    Hi Bill.

I heard your recent Bloomberg conversation with Pim Fox and was intrigued, so I grabbed your app and explored the site. I’d like to try your newsletter, but get the dreaded “404″, when I do. I also searched iTunes and was disappointed that your “radio” show was delayed by a week or so.

Please send a link or update the link to the newsletter trial and I’ll sign up.

    Thanks.

    • Bill Gunderson says:

The link is working. You can click it from the home page or click the newsletter tab at the top of the page. iTunes will be updated today!

    • Bill Gunderson says:

Erik, the link has been fixed and all of the shows are current.
