Some of us pay attention
your recording below seems wrong?
Tuesday, February 21st – Home Depot (HD) analysis. Winmark (WINA) analysis. WP Carey (WPC) analysis. Wal-Mart (WMT) analysis.
Sorry about that. KCEO failed to record our show this AM. This rarely happens.
How do you derive your “safety grade” rating? I do not understand your D+ rating on Apple.
Garret, consider that Apple was down a whopping 56.9% in 2008. An investor has to have a strong stomach to withstand that kind of volatility. Volatility has a lot to do with my safety grades.
Can’t find LNG on Best Stocks now app. What is best play on liquid gas in US Canada this week coming up?
John, I will add LNG to list. Look up my story on GLNG on Seeking Alpha. I dont know if it will do well this week, but I believe it has a lot of potential over the next several years. I also like HEK which is a play on the fracking of the shale to get to the gas. I am long.
Bill, I remain impressed with overall performance of your analysis and down to earth talk about various subjects. Lenny is really good at working radio show with you as well. If I throw my assets in with your firm, what do you recommend for transition purposes (i.e. Schwab, Scottrade, Ameritrade, Fidelity, etc.) Am seriously considering mobile (probably iPhone) hookup as well.
Bill, I look forward to seeing the full-access BSN application for iPhone. I have been researching your recommendations on your BSN Lite app and pulled the trigger on a few buys last week. I know it was really bad timing, but Apple and Canadian Rail have held up relatively well, and my little investment in S&P Gold ETF has helped cushion the blow. However, I also purchased GLNG (down 11% in a week), and WLT (down an astonishing 38%). I must say, those two hurt. Any solace you can give?
Sean

Question on newsletter..why do some stocks not make it to the featured stock section and go straight to model portfolio? It seems most do hit your featured stock first, couple of examples I see are CRR didn’t make featured stock section. Thanks great newsletter and seriously thinking of joining as the pricing is right on!
Bill I think you must like the sound of your own voice when you say that other companies do a cheaper faster and better job than the united states post office.I ship big packages to perth australia alot. The fist time I went to ups they wanted 780 dollars. I went around the corner to the us post office and they shipped the package for a grand total of 83 dollars. That was five years ago and I still ship with the us post office to perth australia and have never had a problem so when you say other companies are cheaper faster and better than the united states post office you are not correct. The are better than the rest and always have been!
Actually, I do like the sound of my own voice, but I did not say that other companies were cheaper and faster. My beef with the post office is that they lost $8.5 billion in 2010, and are expected to lose another $8.5 billion this year, and another $8.5 billion next year. Families have to live within their means. Private companies have to live within their means, but Government somehow gets a pass. I did say however, that unlike the post office, UPS and Fedex are profitable companies. I would be happy with just “break-even” from the USPS.

Bill, spot on article in the LA Business Journal on the President’s Jobs Commission. I personally think that Jeff Immelt and for that matter Jack Welch are way overrated. GE has been dead money for quite sometime.
I know you are bullish on the Bakken oil shale deposit. What do you think of the news coming out of the Macellus Shale natural gas deposit in the northeast and the companies that have a stake in exploiting that, for instance CHK, RRC, ATN.
Great show on bloomberg!
